
Ryan Pachciarz

Ryan is originally from
Portland, Oregon and has been involved with swimming both as a
competitor and coach since age 10. Ryan competed for the University
of South Dakota while earning his Bachelors degree in Psychology
and Math. He went on to earn his Masters in Exercise Science while
coaching for the Vermillion vipers and the USD Coyotes. Ryan came to IST in 2006
from Space City Aquatics Team in Houston, Texas where he was the
Head Age Group Coach. He joined IST in August 2006 as the
Head Age Group Coach. Ryan and his wife Kristy
live in Maple Valley with their son Dylan and daughter
Kamryn.

Coach John started
swimming competitively when he was 13 years old for Port Angeles
Swim Club and Port Angeles High School. He then attended Central
Washington University where he continued his swimming career,
competing 2 years at the NAIA National Championships in the 400 IM
and 200 Back. John was an assistant coach for the
Issaquah High School swim teams for several years. John and
his wife Jodi live in Renton with their two children Fischer and
Parker.

Kris Daughters

Kris grew up in
Bellingham, Washington where she swam for the YMCA team and Sehome
High School. She attended Whitman College, earned a degree in
literature, and swam on the team for four years. She was team
captain in her senior year and an All-American and an NAIA national
championship competitor for four years. Kris earned a Masters
in Education from Seattle University in 1997 and has been teaching
English at Liberty High School ever since. Previous coaching
experiences include being a developmental coach for Bellevue Club,
and head coach for both Overlake Country Club and Liberty High
School. When not at the pool, Kris enjoys reading, gardening
and traveling.

Brad Thomas

Brad started his
competitive swimming career at the age of 9 at the Olympia YMCA and
then at the age of 11 joined the Thurston-Olympian Swim
Club. Brad was a Junior National swimmer and placed
third in the 100 Butterfly at the Washington State high school
championships. Brad went on to compete in college for two
years, on a swim scholarship, at Eastern Washington
University. Brad started his swim coaching career at Sub Base
Banger at the age of 19. Brad has coached swimming for 12
years in Spokane, Portland, Hillsboro, Lincoln City, Seattle and
Federal Way working with youth and adults, including nationally
ranked age group and junior national swimmers. Brad works in the
Major Gifts department for the United Way of King County during the
day and is excited to be back on the pool deck after a five year
break from coaching.

Laura Halter

Laura began her competitive swimming in Santa
Barbara
,
CA
. Her family moved to
Willmar
,
MN
and she joined the high school team. At 17, she
taught lessons and was a lifeguard and discovered her passion to
teach/coach others. Laura has experience coaching Jr. High and Sr.
High girls, Jr. High boys and 2 different summer league teams. She
also officiated for the boys’ high school team in MN. After a
break to raise her two children, Kate and Benjamin, Laura has
re-entered coaching with the Edgebrook Swim and Tennis summer team,
and
Issaquah
High School
teams. Laura joined IST in 2002 and loves the
opportunity to work with the young swimmers on the
team.

Jennifer Cucinelli

Jenn began swimming
competitively at the age of 10, and swam locally for both IST and
Issaquah High School until 2001. She attended Central
Washington University and earned degrees in English Teaching,
Elementary Education and Psychology. Jenn currently teaches
10th grade Language Arts and Skyline High School. Previous
coaching experiences include assistant coaching positions with the
Klahanie Swim Team and this year with the Skyline Girls Swim Team.
Jenn is happy to be returning to IST as a coach, and is
looking forward to getting to know the Issaquah Swim Team
Family!
