Sockeye Family!

December Championship Season is in full swing!

First and foremost I want to congratulate all IST swimmers on their accomplishments this fall!  Last weekend Issaquah Swim Team sent 93 swimmers to the Fall Divisional Championships at the Evergreen State College Pool.  The Sockeyes came away with some incredible experiences and some even more incredible Swims.  Thanks to all the staff for your guidance in helping these swimmers achieve their goals.  Starting this Friday, 55 IST Swimmers will compete in the 2012 14 & Under PNS Championship at the King County Aquatic Center. The following weekend IST will be sending 24 swimmers to the Washington State SC Championships.  Be sure to wish them all good luck. 

Wear your IST gear proudly!  For the 14 & Under Championships and the Washington State Senior championships swimmers are to wear their Blue T-shirts on Friday and Sunday; and wear their Grey t-shirts Saturday.  I can't wait to see the mass of talented swimmers compete over the next two weekends!  Go Sockeyes!

The coaching staff is very proud of what IST, as a team, has accomplished in just a few short months. We are all excited about the competitions the next two weekends and even more excited about what each individual athlete can potentially achieve both in and out of the water alongside their peers.

At the Championship meets the next two weekends, I want to encourage all athletes to believe in yourself, your teammates, and the work you, your teammates and your coaches have put in.  A positive attitude is contagious!  Fast swimming is infectious! In summary; have fun and grasp every opportunity to motivate yourself and your teammates.
