Congratulations to all IST swimmers and families for a fantastic weekend of fast swimming.  IST swimmers placed 5^th out of 121 teams last weekend at the Northwest Age Group Sectional swim meet at King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA.  In all a total of 1255 athletes from 121 teams from Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming traveled to compete at the aquatic center in Federal Way.  The pool was cold but Sockeye Swimmers were hot!

Congratulations to swimmer Katie Kinnear for being selected to participate in this year’s Western Zone USA Swimming Select Camp! The camp will take place June 5-8 at SOKA University in Aliso Viejo, California. The camp will offer a motivational and educational experience to all swimmers that attend as well as an opportunity to practice with other exceptional swimmers in the western zone. Katie’s selection was based on her exemplary competition record in a full menu of events this past summer. The Zone Select Camp is considered a stepping stone from the zone level to the national scene and beyond. IST is very proud of Katie and the hard work and commitment to IST’s training regime that was integral to her selection to the camp.
