Once again our timeline is very crowded at the Age Group Seattle Open. We are going to make two changes to make room for additional swimmers. First, we are going to cancel the relays (again) on Friday and Sunday. Second, we are going to limit the number of heats in the 12&u 400 free on Sunday afternoon to 7 heats of girls and 7 heats of boys. We currently have entries for 9 heats of girls. So we will scratch the slowest entries and put these swimmers on a “waiting list” for the 400 free. If the meet timeline goes well, these swimmers on the “waiting list” will be first in line to be added to the event (before deck entries). If a waiting list swimmer does swim they will pay the normal entry fee (not a deck entry fee). Based on our experience at past meets, we expect to be able to include all of these waiting list swimmers at the meet. I will inform individual teams with swimmers who have been wait listed. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks for your understanding, |
