In January of 2000 the IST 2004 Steering Committee was formed in order to ensure that IST has the opportunity in the future to be as successful as it has been in the past. This committee noted that the existing community facility and support environment for IST had reached its maximum capacity.  IST has developed a successful relationship with both Hazen High School and Klahanie.  The longterm goal for a water committee is to obtain a secure source of water for IST.

Project Actions:

Working to maintain our valued partnership with the City of Issaquah while seeking partnerships with other communities and organizations.

• Seeking to secure a future long-term water environment that serves the IST by:

• its location related to team demographics;

• finding times supportive of IST athletes' school schedules.

• Developing a relationship with the City of Sammamish as it considers developing a community center and possible public pool.

• Exploring possibilities for funding partnerships to build a new state-of-the-art-aquatic facility.
