7.2 Meet Information from the Web Print
No two meets are run exactly the same, but usually follow a general pattern.  Meet information is published for each meet by the host team and must be approved by the governing swim association.

The IST office submits swimmer entries.  This means that swimmers must submit their  "intent to Swim" deadline much earlier than the meet deadlines.

Information about meets governed by Pacific Northwest Swimming are usually made available through the PNS website and are therefore available there before they are available on the IST website.

Another source of information regarding the rules for a particular meet is to review the meet information from previous years.  Be careful to read the official information for the current year when it becomes available as meet specifics often change. By reviewing the "old" information, however, you may be able to get an idea of some how many days it may last, which age group or swimming level  the meet is targeting, if time standards need to be met and what events were held.
