Are you currently a member of the IST competitive swim team and is your account up to date?
Yes? Move on to the next question
No? Accounts are only granted to active IST families who have swimmers in the competitive program. Swimmers in the pre-team programs are given access when they are placed on a competitive squad. If your account needs attention, please contact the IST administrative office using the "Contact Us" link.
Do you know your FAMILY login username?
Yes? Move on to the next question
No? Most IST web accounts are created by the IST administrative office. The account is set up using the last name of each family as the username. When each account is set up, a random cryptic password is generated by the system and emailed to the email address listed for that family. If your email uses spam blocking, you may not have received this information. Please review your filtered mail for messages sent from any istsockeyes.com email address. If this does not help, it may be that your account has not been set up for some reason. Please contact the administrative office using the "Contact Us" link.

No? When each account is set up, a random cryptic password is generated by the system and emailed to the email address listed for that family. If your email uses spam blocking, you may not have received this information. Please review your filtered mail for messages sent from any istsockeyes.com email address. If you have previously logged in and have changed or forgotten your password, you can have the system regenerate a new password for your account by clicking on the "Lost your password?" question located just below the Username/Password/Login prompts. You will be asked to provide your current username and email address registered for that account. The system will reset the password for this account and send it to the account's email address. Again, be sure to accept email from all istsockeyes.com accounts. Check your email and use that password to log in. You may also wish to change the password to one that is easier to remember by clicking on "My Account" at the bottom of the Members Only menu.
Do you get a blank screen when you try to log in?

Yes? Your browser may have either an old version of Java or your security settings may be such that Javascripts are disabled. Javascript must be enabled for our site to work properly. Correcting this varies from machine to machine and between different browsers and their various versions, but the settings are generally found by reviewing areas that may include the following titles: "Tools", "Options", "Internet Options" "Security" "Privacy" "Web Features", "Advanced" or other similar keywords.
When you try to log in with your FAMILY account, are you getting the message "Incorrect Username or Password"?
Yes? Your username is either not what you thought it was, or you have typed it in incorrectly. Please try again. If you continue to have difficulty, please use the steps above to reset your password and try again using your new password. If you continue to have problems, please use the "Contact Us" button to verify that your account is valid and active.
No? After logging in, the Members only list of options should appear in the left column and your username should appear at the bottom of the list with "Hi, " in front of it. If you can see this, you have successfully logged in. Move on to the next question
Does everything seem to go okay, but you simply do not get logged in or you get in on one screen but immediately seem to get logged out again?
Yes? Your security settings may be blocking cookies. Our system sends a cookie to your browser and it has a choice of accepting or rejecting it. If it is accepted, you get logged in, if it is rejected, your browser can not send your "validation" back to the website so it can verify you have the necessary privileges. You may receive just 1 screenful of information, but then when you request the next screen, it can not validate your priviliges. Correcting this varies from machine to machine and between different browsers and their various versions, but the settings are generally found by reviewing areas that may include the following titles: "Tools", "Options", "Internet Options" "Security" "Privacy" "Web Features", "Advanced" or other similar keywords. Look for settings relating to "Cookies". After making changes to this setting, you may also need to clear out any old cookies. Internet Explorer version 6 users can do this by selecting "Tools" "Internet Options" "Delete Cookies" and/or "Tools" "Internet Options" "Delete Files." It may also be helpful in some cases to review your settings under "Tools" "Internet Options" "Settings" to see if web pages are updated every time you visit them. The "automatic" setting should work for the IST site.
Note that there is a known problem with the system where it switches over from istsockeyes.ORG to istsockeyes.COM as your are navigating through the site. When this switchover occurs, it seems to "forget" that you have logged in. This is because IST cookies are not shared (for security reasons). This means the cookies created when you log in to www.istsockeyes.ORG are not used by www.istsockeyes.COM. If this happens, simply log in a second time under the .COM site.
