3. Training Group Structure Print
Placement in the program will be made on the basis of performance and evidence of potential as evaluated by the coaching staff.

Any child six (6) years of age or older is eligible with the approval of the coach.

It is expected that applicants for the program will participate for a full season. Conditioning, stroke mastery and competitive performance require time and effort. All swimmers who are willing to make the effort will improve and find success in the swimming program.

Learning and developing advanced competitive swimming fundamentals  
Squids

8-9

Learning and developing advanced competitive swimming fundamentals  
Rays

12 & under

Develop advanced competitive swimming techniques in all strokes, turns, starts, finishes, etc; Improve meet skills and race efficiency in all events  
Sectional Prep

11-14

Improving and refining technique and fundamentals with an introduction to specific physical training techniques and race strategies.  
Sectionals

12 & under

Challenged in both technique and training. Swimming technique mastery will be the top priority.

Preparation for the National Training Group and Senior-level competition  
Jr Nationals

13 & up

Preparation for the National Training Group and Senior Sectional/ Junior National competition  
Nationals

This intense group will focus on the elite athlete striving for Nationals and Olympic trials. By Invitation Only.

Fitness and optional competition for the "retired" or "late blooming" swimmer
